Statue of Liberty climber sentenced to community service, probation

A woman who climbed the base of the Statue of Liberty last year to protest the separation of families at the border has been sentenced to five years’ probation and 200 hours of community service. Therese Okoumou entered the courthouse on Tuesday with tape all over her face and a headband across her forehead scrawled with the phrase ’I care!’.

What a coward the judge was. She was disrespectful throughout the whole thing, she isn't even sorry, she insulted the court multiple times during the trial. Revoke her citizenship, she's clearly a foreign agent that hates America. Send her back to Congo. And remove that useless judge, he's more concerned with activism than the law.

She should be sent to prison for multiple accounts of resisting arrest, defacing national treasures, trespassing, public indecency and illegal protest.

That'll show her. I bet she'll never do this again with such harsh consequences as a deterrent.
