Totalitarians are similar around the world. They get offended...hear or read something they don't like...and try their best to destroy the pesky problem. Banning, unpersoning, getting someone fired, and, among the most despotic, jailing and even killing the "problem". Unfortunately, most people have the totalitarian mindset, to varying degrees. That's why the Enlightenment was such an amazing thing. But those values are dying again in the world.

I would just like to say keep in mind the Noah's ark story in the Quran is different from the account in the Bible... 1) there is more people on the "ark" (family + extra believers) 2) there is no rainbow and no promise made 3) it was for unbelief and worshiping other gods not destroying the world and themselves through acts of evil 4) one of Noah's sons perish 5) there is a long dialogue between the people and the prophet noah before building and while building "ark" ... where the prophet noah preaches and some believe... I say all of this to help keep distinctions between the two stories... as we have a tendency to assume what is meant is the same... these are only 5 points looking at a quick glance..
