Disney closes $71B deal for Fox entertainment assets

Disney has closed its $71 billion acquisition of Fox’s entertainment business. Among other things, the deal paves the way for Disney to launch its streaming service, Disney Plus, due out later this year. It will also likely lead to layoffs in the thousands, thanks to duplication in film-production staff.

It's getting harder and harder to remember everything Disney owns to properly boycott them.

And just like that entertainment dies with thunderous applause.

Ironically, I was just at Disney world. I feel better knowing that I didn't pay the current company to be there, I went using 2005 tickets. From back when disney had some integrity and actually cared more about the magic than about the money...I also work with media nationwide. I hate working with disney owned networks, ESPN is a joke especially. I'm not looking forward to dealing with that from FOX too... Walt is turning in his grave...
