Blasts in Afghan capital Kabul kill six during new year festival

Multiple explosions in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Thursday killed six people and wounded 23 on a day marking celebrations of the Persian new year. An Interior Ministry spokesman said mortar bombs had been fired. The Defence Ministry said that three rockets were fired at civilian homes and Nowruz gatherings.
