Yale rescinds admission of student in bribery scandal

Yale University rescinded the admission of a student linked to the national college admissions scandal that implicated 50 people. The university did not identify the student’s exact association with the school. Separately, former Yale women’s soccer coach, Rudy Meredith, is facing charges of taking a $400,000 bribe to accept an applicant who did not play soccer.

I have to admit, while I think the schools should know better, at this point in time all colleges care about is money. Anyone who goes to college is basically getting a degree based off of the money they are giving to the school. Very few students are actually learning anything. So the students who are suing the school are just trying to get a living off of the school since they probably have no real chance of getting a job that will allow them to be cry babies. I know I will be in the minority. But really should anyone be surprised that money got people places they probably didn’t deserve?
