British Airways flight bound for Germany lands in Scotland by mistake

British Airways has offered an apology after a flight from London to Dusseldorf, Germany, landed more than 600 miles (965 km) away in Edinburgh ’by mistake’. The detour happened after a sub-contracted crew used an incorrect flight plan setting off for the Scottish capital. Passengers were flown to Dusseldorf after their unscheduled Scottish stopover.
