DeVos defends proposal to cut federal funding for Special Olympics

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos defended herself Wednesday from criticism over the administration’s proposal to cut federal funding for the Special Olympics. DeVos reiterated her support for the proposed cuts, saying the government cannot fund programs that ’enjoy robust support from private donations’. The proposal would slash at least $7 billion from the Department of Education programs.

Good, cut the funding for anything that the public could do themselves. Screw the government, let people with an actual interest invest in the community and create the world they want to live in.

Cuts funding for special needs kids, kicks up funding for Charter Schools (which she has a financial stake in) even though Charter Schools are failing at a 25% rate and cost the taxpayers over a billion dollars in fraudulent billing and fraud. And she gave herself and staff a 15% raise

something that makes me go Hummm, the left will abort normal children up to the time of delivery but want to sustain the mentally challenged at taxpayers expense for something that should be funded by only those affected, specially since they already have enough private support,in whose pockets does that federal money wind up in.
