Betsy DeVos says media falsely reported on her proposed cuts to Special Olympics

Betsy DeVos accuses media outlets of misrepresenting her proposed cuts for Special Olympics. She says that she personally supports them and that the nonprofit organization can thrive on its own, with over $100 million annually in private donations and fundraisers. She also points to the $13.2 billion in state grants and $226 million in training and research to support students with disabilities.

If all these loudmouth lefties could spare a minute to personally donate a couple bucks to fund the Special Olympics, they would be able to raise double, even triple, the funding it has now. But nah, it's much better to loudly virtue signal your outrage and then spend other people's money instead.

I am with DeVos on this one. I have been to Special Olympic fundraisers. There is no need for federal funding!

Tommy, why do you think it is that lefties don't understand individual philanthropy?
