Jessie Liu withdraws from Justice Department nomination

US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie Liu has withdrawn her name from consideration for associate AG, the third-highest office in the DOJ. Liu will instead serve as an adviser to Attorney General William Barr. Her decision comes after Sen. Mike Lee opposed her nomination due to concerns that she did not oppose abortion.
