Trump says vote on healthcare can wait until after 2020 election

President Trump said on Monday he was willing to wait until after the 2020 presidential election to get Congress to vote on a new healthcare plan. In a series of tweets, Trump said Republicans are developing ’a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than Obamacare’.

I wouldn't be suprised if his "healthcare plan" involves deregulating the industry and letting the free market take full control. That's why he has to keep quiet, because it's not popular with the American people.

this is probably a smarter move than working on it now.

That's just smart, by moving until after the 2020, it loses its power as a talking point... POTUS can also concentrate his efforts on immigration.

I am too rich for welfare and too poor for insurance. And ACA took my money because I couldn't afford insurance. Whatever happened to My Body, My Choice?

Lunarsting4 1 year

Its too bad the ACA made care unaffordable unless you're rich and i want to say on welfare but i dont think thats correct.

both republicans and democrates use this issue like a football on purpose while the people affected by it argue among themselves on what's better. just look to cananda, uk, Sweden . all those countries already have solution. open ur eyes stop falling for partisan politics.

I’m sick and tired of social welfare. It is time to strip the bandage and clean the infected wound. America needs to reduce its spending and decrease taxes. The cost of living is too damn high in certain areas of the country (I’m looking at you, California.) so normal citizens can save up money which they can use to afford their own healthcare. States should be responsible for paying off their own individual debts: Not the debts of the entire nation. America needs to grow out of its debt. ~ The income tax should be removed: why should people be punished for working 3-4 jobs? ~Economic depressions shouldn’t be treated like national disasters but rather an opportunity to weed out companies with terrible business practices. ~Illegal migrants should not be tolerated. They should be sent back to their country if they are not willing to comply with international law? ~ Schools should be privatized and run off of admissions. Yes this will raise the cost of admissions however this will rule out the interdependence of government loans and will combat the disparity of funding in the current public school system. ~ The Military should be downsized however R&D should continue. ~The draft age should be brought up from 18 to 21.

Republicans have had close to a decade to come up with a plan, who believes Trump when he claims they are working on one now. Remember this is the guy who claimed he had a plan.

M.Twain 1 year

Trump has somehow been made aware of his idiotic position he has taken on healthcare, which if he gets the ACA overturned it will result in 20 million people losing their healthcare, many of whom are his supporters, he has also finally learned the Republicans have no plan. So now he is playing to his follower's stupidity, he claims he will present a plan after the 2020 election, even though he said the same thing prior to 2016. Just recycling the lies and the ignorant followers are just going to eat it up.

It's okay that a few people die because of my inability to act.

proof that they know the aca is popular and people will be harmed by removing the patient protections

A majority of Republicans support Medicare for all. The left wing position is national healthcare, not Medicare for all. A koch brothers funded study found it would save 2 trillion dollars over 10 years. A non partizan study found it would save 6 trillion. You get better health outcomes with single payer. You get a longer life expectancy with single payer. In every objectively measurable way it's better. There are only 2 reasons you wouldn't support it. You make money off the health insurance industry, or you drink Fox coolaid.

Fix is easy let people buy insurance across state lines. Get the government out of the process as much as possible. There I fixed your supply and more than likely cost

ravel70 1 year

he needs to do a bipartisan supported infrastructure plan and get it going and votes cast before election.
