Pope says Catholic Church must acknowledge history of abuse

Pope Francis said on Tuesday the Roman Catholic Church had to acknowledge a history of male domination and sexual abuse of women and children. Francis, though, stopped short of endorsing more sweeping calls from his own bishops to give women decision-making roles. Francis urged young people not to be disillusioned by the clerical sexual abuse scandal that has hit the Church.

im glad he called out that these things have taken place in the past, but this one good action doesn't alleviate the fact that The current pope is a complete pussy who bow's down to his enemies and interprets the bible in a way to support his world view, and its absolutely disgraceful.

Wait... He's their boss so why doesn't he just get it done? Lame ass waste of space. Whilst holding their hands up to that, they can add idolatry, heresy, apostacy, paganism, spiritism, fornication, lying, thieving, murder and supporting Earthly Governments rather than God's Kingdom to that list.

How about we admit that over 80% of abuse victims are male. Instead of trying to take the core of the issue away from the lavender mafia who helped get you the papacy.

While I can't say I agree with everything this Pope says, I think this is a good enough call.

I like this Pope, he's been the most progressive and he knows that things need to change. Pedo-priests have no place in the church and it can no longer be swept under the rug.

The Catholic Church has proven it is irrelevant and a cancer on society. A monolithic organization that supports predators of its own members. It has for centuries. It will not stop as the "leaders" have lived in that culture for all their lives. There is no way to have a new broom make a clean sweep of the corrupted old men that make the rules and form the most massive child abuse cabal ever known in the history of man. What is the pope doing about it? Making speeches and deflecting real responsibility.
