Trump attacks wind energy at Republican Committe

President Trump on Tuesday stepped up his attacks against wind power, claiming that the structures decrease property values. Trump, speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual spring dinner, also said the noise they emit causes cancer. Trump referred to windmills as a ’graveyard for birds’ while talking about Hillary Clinton’s proposal to investing in wind power.

let me guess, something was massively taken out of context?

Quick reminder that almost nothing "causes" cancer. Things like Ultraviolet radiation, many types of food, smoking and so on increase the chance of cancer growth, they don't cause it. Also if you want to get rid of everything that increases the risk of getting cancer you'll have to get rid of chocolate, electricity, carbon dioxide and the sun so good luck with that.

“In a long line of jokes about wind power, President Donald Trump makes totally serious claim that windmills cause cancer.”

What happened to all the Russia comments? Is it wind power now?

Just listened to it... seemed very much more like bloviating jest and mockery than an honest assessment of the health risks or effects on property value. people got their panties in a perpetual twist when he made sarcastic remarks about women letting him grab them by the pussy, so taking every word literally should be no surprise at this point. TDS literally leads to actual cancer... literally.

I am wondering if any of these good folks here actually saw the footage because he's clearly joking. Then again, in today's age, people can't tell what's a joke or not anymore.

Conservatives take Trump seriously, but not literally. Liberals take Trump literally, but not seriously. Like their inability to meme, the left has no sense of humor.

It's in a series of jokes about windmills in Trump's typical style of hyperbole. It's understandable for the regressive left to be confused by Trump's style, especially after eight years of their revered prophet Obama sharing the good news from the book 'Rules for Radicals'.

Oof trump....buddy....should have just said the take up too much space and kill a shit load of birds. I’m not even sure if the cause noise pollution. I bet he miss heard one of his guys that was briefing him on wind-power and some how thought they said they cause cancer.

Believing Trumps ranting causes brain damage, the sufferers are incapable of distinguishing reality from bs.

"They say they cause cancer." Trump starts windmilling his arms and making funny wind noises and smirks. This is what happened, you decide if he was being serious or not.

this story tells me 2 possible things are going on 1 the authors are idiots and don't know what a joke is ( when someone hears a sound that hurts their ears they can say that causes cancer ) 2 they think their viewers are dumb enough to fall for this

When liberals don't know what a hyperbole is.

The amount of idiots that can’t see the plain sarcasm and hyperbole is quite baffling and alarming... Just goes to show they’ll believe any propagated bullshit shoved down their throats if it means they can @ Trump and hurl insults.
