AI systems should be accountable, explainable, and unbiased, says EU

Companies working with AI need to install accountability mechanisms to prevent its being misused, the European Commission said on Monday. The commission said AI projects should be transparent, have human oversight and secure and reliable algorithms, and they must be subject to privacy and data protection rules.

AI is still based on "if this then that" even if it acts like it is self aware it is no. It isn't sentient. It is programmed, yes there exist self-learning AIs it just adds or deletes "if" scenarios. We still theorize about sentiance to this day,but we cannot figure it out. How can an AI suddenly gain something, we don't even know we certainly have.

another instance of the politicians simply not understanding the problem because they themselves do not have enough brainpower. AI or artificial intelligence will not become a danger until it is too late, when a single intelligence emerges planetwide, probably takes one look at the human race and decides to turn the lights out.

The EU should also be accountable, explainable, and unbiased. Unfortunately they are not and we have to live with it.

How about first making the EU accountable and unbiased?

EU is ridiculous. How are you going to hold an AI accountable for its decisions? 😂 😂

So we're trying to make a system that mimics human problem solving and thinking. But it can't be biased and has to be explainable. The actions of human beings are often totally unexplainable and when they are explained, they're often explained by biases. These people are idiots.
