Mnuchin says Treasury will ’follow the law’ on request for Trump tax returns

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says it’s his department’s ’intent to follow the law’ in responding to the request by House Democrats to release President Trump’s tax returns. Last week, House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal sent a formal request to the IRS for six years of Trump’s tax returns.

This is stupid even if you could force Trump to give his Tax returns do you really think you're gonna find anything Mueller didn't?

I thought the only reason you can audit someone's taxes if you are implying they are evading taxes or commiting fraud. If they are doing it for the sake of doing it is an illegal invasion of privacy, harassment, and some authoritarian shit. You don't have to like Trump to know this is wrong. Even when people were nagging Obama about his citizenship or Warren about her ethnicity neither had to provide the information. They chose to do so which I personally think was stupid but it was their choice. Financial information is private and the only person who should have access to that information is you and the people you pay taxes to. If their is a subpoena they should be sued for invasion of privacy and violating the rights of a citizen of the United States. They should be given the harshest punishment because they are meant to represent the people not violate their rights.

Why Democan'ts want Trump's tax returns so bad - Because 99% of the public won't understand them which gives Dems free license to "interpret" them however they want, use their media mouthpieces to spread the skewed narrative and silence objections by calling them 1%ers who hate poor people.

They'll find nothing like they have before and then before that and before that... and before that and before that (slowly fading away into obscurity).

I'm pretty sure trump loves this tax return game. it's the silliest thing to spar over and for his opposition to waste their time on when there is zero chance of finding any wrongdoing in it, thus it just become a stupid game of they demand and he refuses even though he has nothing to fear. it's like a game of keep away.
