Warner Bros takes legal action against Trump over Batman music

A 2020 campaign video featuring the score from ’The Dark Knight Rises’ and tweeted by President Trump has been pulled down over complaints of copyright infringement. Warner Bros. Pictures claims the use of the music from the 2012 film was ’unauthorized’. The score appeared in a two-minute re-election campaign video.

More despicable virtue signalling double standards. Pathetic.

Sounds like more free marketing for Trump, which costs him less than he would have to spend to get equivalent in marketing coverage from this event if it continues to escalate. Especially in the years where copyright is seen in far more negative light by left, right, and center, than it is seen as positive.

Nothing new. He did all during his campaign. Laws don't apply to him and whoever is churning out his promos is too stupid to realize you have to get permission from the owners of copyrighted material. This from the president making intellectual property a point of emphasis with China.
