World’s largest plane makes first flight over California

The world’s largest aircraft took off over the Mojave Desert in California on Saturday, the first flight for the carbon-composite plane built by Stratolaunch Systems. The airplane, called Roc, has a wingspan the length of an American football field and is powered by six engines on a twin fuselage. It stayed aloft for more than two hours before landing safely back at the Mojave Air and Space Port.

Just imagine where we would be if we concentrated on endeavours like this instead of gender, race and politics.

I saw the USAF was looking at this. Could carry 4,000 Hellfires, ~1000 AMRAAMs, or ~150 cruise missiles. Idea was to screen the area first with F-35s, followed by F-22s/F-15s, then one of these monsters.

Why does the port side cockpit stay empty and unpressurized? could it not be manned to monitor the other 3 engines closer. Is it just to balance the frame so they can haul the rockets in the middle of Roc? *I'm no expert on airplanes.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

Is this going to really piss off the Green New Deal supporters or what? Want to ban air travel eh? How about we design the BIGGEST AIRCRAFT EVER MADE?! Now we just need to use it to drop leaflets about how Nuclear energy and natural gas are more "green" than depleting our world of lithium to replace every car with an electric car. Take that hippies!
