Sudanese protesters demand ’immediate’ move to civilian rule

Sudan’s main protest group on Sunday called for the immediate handover of power to a civilian transitional government. Organizers of the protests that forced long-ruling President Omar al-Bashir from power are calling on the military to ’immediately and unconditionally’ hand power to a transitional civilian government to rule for four years.

Hopefully things go well and the people can have their voices heard and a proper leader elected. But we all know what's gonna happen. The council will hold on to power as long as they can and appoint a puppet or take over forcibly and then we wash, rinse and repeat.
