YouTube’s fact checking linked the Notre Dame fire to 9/11

YouTube was slammed Monday after live footage of the devastating Notre Dame blaze appeared above a link to information on the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The footage appeared with a link to an Encyclopedia Britannica explainer on 9/11. YouTube said later that an algorithmic fail caused the wrong information panel to appear with the live footage.

Since people don't seem to understand what it means: YouTube/Google have already decided what happened. This is not a good sign for the case that this was an error during restoration work.

Youtube's algorithm wasn't the only one making that link. It may not be true, but it's pretty safe to assume.
