Dog rescued while swimming 135 miles off Thailand

A dog was found swimming more than 220 kilometers (135 miles) from shore by workers on an oil rig crew in the Gulf of Thailand. The crew, after spotting the dog, managed to lower a rope and secure it around the dog’s neck and haul it up. The crew speculated the dog might have fallen off a fishing trawler. The dog, delivered by boat to the southern port of Songkhla, was declared in good shape.

Don't take it back to Thailand. They'll just eat it! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2014/11/02/world/asia/dog-meat-trade-in-thailand-is-under-pressure-and-may-be-banned.amp.html
