Israeli court upholds deportation of Human Rights Watch official

An Israeli court ordered the deportation of Human Rights Watch’s local director, ordering him to leave the country within two weeks. The court rejected an appeal by Omar Shakir to remain in the country, citing his ongoing support of boycotts of Israel during his time in the country. Shakir, a US citizen, has worked as the group’s Israel and Palestine director since October 2016.

These days HRW is nothing but a biased disreputable NGO. “The appellant continues to call publicly for a boycott of Israel, or parts of it, while at the same time asking (Israel) to open its doors to him,” - the Justice Ministry.
