The Weather Channel live broadcast interrupted by malicious software on Thursday

The Weather Channel’s morning broadcast was interrupted by malicious software for nearly two hours on Thursday morning. The FBI is currently investigating the incident and believe it was caused by ransomware. Ransomware is a form of malicious software that denies a user access to a computer & it’s files; requiring a ransom be paid to restore access.
