Microsoft employees urge company to support protesting Chinese tech workers

A group of Microsoft employees called on the company to stand in solidarity with Chinese tech workers who have adopted GitHub as a platform to protest unfair labor practices. In March, Chinese computer programmers complained about long work hours. The protests were posted on a ’repository’ called 996.ICU. That’s shorthand for working 9am to 9pm six days a week and ending up in the ICU.
