Andy McKean leaves Republican party because of Trump

The longest-serving Republican in the Iowa Legislature, Andy McKean, announced Tuesday that he’s becoming a Democrat. McKean said he didn’t want to remain in a party led by President Trump. McKean pointed to Trump’s spending decision and what he called the president’s ’erratic, destabilizing foreign policy,’ choices regarding the environment and ’disregard for the truth’.

That is a lie, he was always a RINO and the only reason he was a Republican was because he could not get elected as a Democrat in his district, and now he is returning to the mothership, good riddance to another RINO. Now we need to push out Mr Mittens from Utah.

40+ years I had based my life around Conservative principles. Limited government. Fiscal responsibility.Free markets. Individual liberty. Traditional American values. Strong national defense. Actually, Trump made me change my mind because he acts like a Democrat and I hate that. I think I'll reverse all my core beliefs and become a Democrat. That literally makes no sense.

If you leave your party because of one person (who will be gone in 5 years or so) there is something wrong with you. If you can’t handle different views in a democracy, you’ll eventually end up in a party of one.
