Florida House debates bill banning ’sanctuary city’ policies

The Florida House passed a high-profile bill Wednesday requiring local law enforcement agencies to cooperate with federal immigration authorities and banning so-called ’sanctuary city’ policies. Florida doesn’t currently have any formal ’sanctuary cities’. The bill sponsored by Rep. Cord Byrd would ban those policies and require local authorities to honor detainer requests from US ICE.

Good. Cities shouldn't just be able to ignore federal laws they don't like. I should found a sanctuary city which allows whatever kind if gun, rocket launcher, or nuclear weapon people want to own.
