Facebook braces for $3 to $5 billion fine over privacy lapses

Facebook’s costs jumped by $3 billion in the first three months of the year as the company deals with an ongoing FTC investigation into the social network’s privacy practices. Facebook said on Wednesday it had set aside $3 billion to deal with the issue but estimates the final loss from fines could be as much as $5 billion.

Not that they don't have it coming, but why can't we do something like this to the company recently caught illegally pushing Oxy? They have real blood on their hands and we only fined them millions. 20 million. that's 1/150 -1/250 the fine that being levied here.
