Colorado police department faces new criticism after release of booking video

The attorney representing Karen Garner, a 73-year-old woman with dementia who was arrested in June said she amended a lawsuit against the Loveland Police Department in Colorado. The amendment was made after the release of a booking video that she said proves officers knew her client was injured. Garner has been accused of having walked away from a store without paying for about $14 worth of items.

Loveland’s finest. Really demonstrates one’s character when they are bragging about dislocating an elderly, mentally ill woman’s shoulder.

This is a lawsuit I can get behind. I saw the video, I feel like the officer going hands on with an 80 pound dementia patient was too severe. He could've followed her without going hands on and tried to maybe lure her back to the store to pay for the goods or something. Literally anything other than John Cena.
