DoJ opens inquiry into Louisville policing over Breonna Taylor’s death

The DOJ is opening a sweeping investigation into policing in Louisville over the March 2020 death of Breonna Taylor. Greg Fischer, the mayor of Louisville, portrayed the investigation as ’an outstanding opportunity for us’ to ’get it right.’ The investigation is into the Louisville-Jefferson county metro government and the Louisville metro police department (LMPD).
