Global military expenditure reached its highest level in 2018 since the end of the Cold War, fueled by increased spending in the US and China. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said overall global military spending in 2018 hit $1.82 trillion, up 2.6 per cent on the previous year. US military spending rose 4.6 per cent last year to reach $649 billion.
So we finally hit levels not seen in over 3 decades? Guess we don't spend that much on the military like we do entitlements.
Now if only the Pentagon woupd spend it wisely...
The usa military budget is a national disgrace. We should be using that money for food, education, healthcare, and shelter for working class people.
mostly from the US, for no real reason.
Does this mean we're looking at WWlll?
given inflation this should have happened years ago...
Cool, maybe this time we'll go to Mars instead of just the moon!
