3,000 kgs of garbage, 4 dead bodies collected in Mt. Everest clean up plan

A total of 3,000 kilograms of solid waste has been collected from the Mt Everest region since the beginning of the Nepal government-backed cleaning campaign on April 14. Four bodies were also discovered while cleaning the Base Camp. The campaign aims to collect nearly 10,000 kgs of garbage besides dead bodies of past climbers from the world’s highest peak.
