Eastern Canada battles flooding after days of rain

Several days of heavy rains have swollen rivers and reservoirs in eastern Canada. The worst situation is in the town of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, west of Montreal, which was inundated Saturday night. More than 6,500 people there have been evacuated. Flooding also has hit Ontario and New Brunswick.

Some of those rivers have been flooding every spring since Champlain started exploring Canada in the 1600s! But no, a tax hike will solve it all!
