Packed synagogue honors woman killed in attack

Lori Kaye, who threw herself in front of her rabbi to protect him from a gunman’s bullets, has been remembered as a generous, vivacious and devout Jewish woman during a funeral service. Her funeral came at a day when her killer, John Earnest, 19, was formally charged with murder and attempted murder, hate crime allegations, and was set to be arraigned on Tuesday.

She protected the preacher guy. And a vet and an armed, off-duty border agent, fought the guy off and saved everyone else. They're the heroes.

Armed security should be mandatory in places of worship (outside), better yet armed professional security in all places that are vulnerable to mass shooters/terrorism.

This woman is a hero. Self preservation is such a strong instinct that I have to applaud her for giving her life to save someone else. It takes a mindboggling amount of courage.
