Bernie Sanders asks Disney to pay a ’Middle-Class Wage’ after Avengers earnings

Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday called on Disney to use profits from its ’Avengers: Endgame’ which had a record-breaking opening weekend that earned $1.2 billion worldwide to pay all employees ’a middle-class wage.’ He called out its CEO Bob Iger getting paid $65.6 million which is over 1,400 times as much as the average worker at Disney makes.

Typical politician blaming big business (the rich) for people being poor to win them over. It’s an age old argument. Big business employs a lot of people. If they’re not profitable unemployment rises and those on low wages are now out of work. There’s a balance.

Considering that Socialism has destroyed every country it was set in, don't you love when a Socialist orders private enterprises how to conduct their business? Socialist economy is an oxymoron.

back in 2016 I was a Bernie supporter. Really, only reason I get involved with politics in any way. but no Bernie, no. If there was some argument about paying people who made the movie more such those who just clean and set up the stages used, other small over look behind the scenes jobs like that, or even interns if any. I would listen to arguments like that. But blanket money from one project over an entirety of Disney and all properties than no.

Reminds me of Seattle's own marxist Kshama Sawant's failed attempt at demanding that Amazon pay $275 annual head tax per employee. Now Amazon is working on moving 25,000 employees out of Seattle by 2022.
