D.C. Police Department targeted by Russian hackers in cyberattack

The database of the Washington, D.C. police department was reportedly hacked by Russian hackers, who have threatened to share information with criminal gangs unless it pays an unspecified ransom. In order to support their claim, the cybercriminals posted screenshots on their dark web site, and claimed they had stolen more than 250 gigabytes of data.
