Insys Therapeutics CEO John Kapoor, 4 other execs found guilty

The founder of the pharmaceutical company Insys Therapeutics and four other top executives were found guilty on Thursday in a scheme involving bribes and kickbacks to physicians who prescribed fentanyl spray. After 15 days of deliberations, a jury in Boston found former chairman John Kapoor guilty of racketeering conspiracy charges. Racketeering charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years.

Are the prescribing doctors who took the bribes being prosecuted? Losing their licenses to practice? Being fined their ill gotten gains?

Surely some Health authorities must now control the doctors doing the prescribing. Surely centralised pharmaceutical patient records would help control.
