Fox host concedes the Biden meat ban story was incorrect

Fox anchor John Roberts issued a correction, admitting that a graphic displayed by the network led people to believe that Biden’s climate plan called for them to reduce their consumption of red meat. Roberts, citing an academic study, claimed that people need to ’say goodbye to your burgers if you want to sign up to the Biden climate agenda.’ ’That is not the case,’ he said in a correction.

Fox is just one side of the MSM coin. If you think one outlet is better than another for reporting truth, you are not paying attention.

Really? Does Fox think this was an honest mistake? You know how many reactionaries, on this site alone, we will have to correct them when talking about climate policies as they will try and cite this story. 😂 who are we kidding right wingers don’t share their sources. But seriously I bet my family will keep saying this dumb talking point for at least 3 more months. Thank you Fox for being intellectually dishonest.

That how it works with Fox; A) the lie to attract and please audience B) they have to send the correction to avoid legal actions C) their viewers pay no attention to the correction as the lie fit with their views -or- the viewers prefer to believe in some sinister conspiracy In the end these people enter a spiral of amplified bias into extremism.

Atleast there was omission of guilt for a false story... compared to the reres at CNN and other liberal news sites.. (looking at you story of cop saving a black girls life from another trying to stab her)

Right wing has always been fake news. Even Tucker used the defense in a lawsuit that he's not real journalism but hyperbole and entertainment. That was HIS LEGAL DEFENSE. 😭😭🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

Can someone share where to find the Biden plan? All I’ve seen is end goals and not the how we explicitly get there. Saying the US will achieve 100% clean energy and net zero emissions no later than 2050 is not a plan, it’s just a goal so details are needed to have a real conversation. Otherwise it’s just empty promises to get votes and continue the same destructive behavior.

This wasn't just some one off statement, literally every single MSM right wing program and all the ancillary ones like Shapiro or Levin all repeated the same BS nonsense. And this goes for a lot of issues, not just meat...

Anyone who still trusts fox news after all that happened is a real tool. But at least they correct themselves unlike certain other "news outlets." *Cough* Newsmax *Cough* Oan *Cough*

He did this to make the right think that biden was attacking their masculinity. There are so many men who think that eating red meat is an inherently manly thing, and the right has an obsession with masculinity, and the narrative that the left is “erasing” it. It’s just pure outrage culture

No doubt this show of honesty will result in calls by large portions of the GOP for him to be ‘cancelled’.

Well if you don't follow the lead of CLOWNISH PROPAGANDA media outhouses like CNN, MSDNC, NBC, CBS, ABC, you wouldn't have to retract your statement, would you?! Just do what journalists USED to do and report the FACTS! The only worthwhile news 'channels' are all independent journalists, such as Newsmax, NTD News, The Epoch Times, One America News Network, and independent researchers and pundits such as Dan Bongino, Dinesh D'Souza, Charlie Kirk, and others that do not 'bow down' to LEFTIST CORPORATOCRACY.

Only the brainwashed sheeple are ever surprised that MSM makes ish up. Look at the whole Russia bounty thing the liberals ran with FOR OVER A YEAR. So liberals put the stones down. That's glass you're standing in.

I don't care about the talking head or the network, so let's get down to brass tacks. Is there a single hardcore environmentalist that doesn't preach that reduction of beef consumption, if not complete elimination, is key to cutting greenhouse gases, reducing rainforest destruction, and reducing water pollution and use? And if so, how could this NOT be part of a green new deal initiative? The mental gymnastics here are staggering. The left finds itself in a position of rabidly arguing against what they actually want. It would be amusing if it wasn't so disturbing.

Ok, good. Now do CNN retraction of one if their left wing nut job conspiracy theories or one if their thousand lying smears about Trump... No? No surprise there.

Biden himself when talking about his version of a new green deal, during the election campaign, said Americans may not be eating meat anymore or as much. So more of an exaggeration based in fact.

“Biden has not put forward any proposal to force Americans to change their diets. And the study Roberts cited — which was published before Biden had even won the Democratic presidential nomination — was not about Biden at all.” “The study from scholars at the University of Michigan and Tulane University looked at what would happen to greenhouse gas emissions if Americans hypothetically decided to reduce their meat consumption to four pounds per year. It said nothing about a government-mandated reduction to four pounds per year — and did not even mention Biden’s name.” “The Daily Mail, a British tabloid, baselessly linked the study to Biden in a Thursday article. A series of Fox personalities then did the same thing on Friday and Saturday.” Shocking, more fake news from Fox. Anything to get the right to rally around—real or invented—is fair game at Fox. Not surprised to hear the lies were inspired by a tabloid, that is what Fox News should be viewed as.
