Facebook softens ads policy amidst stablecoin launch

After placing an outright ban on all forms of cryptocurrency and distributed ledger technology (DLT) related ads last year, Facebook has announced an update to its policy to enable some ’clean’ digital assets and blockchain related ads. The softening of stance comes as Facebook is searching for $1 billion to fuel its stablecoin project called Libra.

Aren't Facebook financially involved with setting up some crypto currency now? So of course this would be their next step.

Facebook caves to every request of it's Chinese overlords. I'm surprised it took so long. Now China (and a few other corporate sponsors) have freedom to push the value higher and reap massive profits before destroying the value flooding the market only to purchase an even larger portion of the market cap in the fallout. Chinacoin/Bitcoin is anti freedom and against all the original intentions of crypto currency.
