Biden looking for ’middle ground’ climate policy

Joe Biden is reportedly crafting a climate change policy he hopes will appeal to both environmentalists and the blue-collar voters who elected Donald Trump. The backbone of the policy will likely include the US re-joining the Paris Climate Agreement and preserving US regulations on emissions and vehicle fuel efficiency.

How about we create a world where we react to the actual scientific data and not some political agenda. The data we are collecting does not show any of the predictions the polictal hacks and conspiracy theorists have put forth in their disturbingly flawed climate models. I would encourage lawmakers to act on verified evidence in nature. We have seen slight if any global temp increases over the past 20 years. We have seen no loss of global ice, we actually have measurable increases. We see no increase in rates of sea level rise. We have seen no increase in extreme weather, either in magnitude or frequency. I would venture to say the data has shown immeasurably small if any noticable negative effects from human activities globally. We have seen massive impacts locally from human activities. This is where we should be focussing our attention. Humans cover less than 1% of the land which cover only approximately 30% of the surface. We are massively insignificant globally, but locally we can make a huge difference in the small areas we occupy. I would advocate for local cleanup programs and emmisions (gasses and others) controls where it make financial sense. Cleanup projects and ocean cleanup efforts to limit our local impact on the environment. Clean energy by way of nuclear would be massively beneficial as a method of reducing energy production emmisions since solar, wind, hydro are ineffective at scale and detrimental to the local environment they are implemented in.

Want to reduce CO2 emissions? Build nuclear reactors, and lots of them. Problem solved. This has never been a complicated issue.

There's no middle ground. You either want a planet or you don't. Biden is useless.

If Biden's plan is actually centrist, then I'd definitely prefer that to the Green New Deal pile of garbage. However, I'm guessing he's going to get himself alienated from the majority of Democrats, being that every chart shows that if you're not a Lefty Lunatic, then you're an "alt-right nazi" these days! Would still prefer a more conservative approach... we've toyed with Leftist ideas too much already.

Good. AOC hates it. Dems seem to think she's with listening to. One of the stronger contenders go down. No wonder the Democratic Party is fracturing. Glad I left it years ago in favor of no party. Tbh, at this point I'd almost be willing to go Republican given that leftists rank among the most intolerant people out there. Or at least no better than the far right.
