Zuckerberg argues against breaking up Facebook

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg dismissed growing calls for regulators to break up the social media company, arguing that company’s size allows it to invest billions of dollars in security every year. Zuckerberg was responding to an op-ed written by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes calling for regulators to break up Facebook.

Journalists and social media influencers need to be held accountable for what they write. Today journalists want to be the ones BREAKING NEWS so they release ill-informed and rushed content, or *INSERT CLICK BAIT HERE* for a larger audience and revenue, or because their backers want them to spin it that way. A lot of these journalists don't have proper sources, citations and purposely take people out of context to further their BREAKING CLICK BAIT revenue stream. It's absolutely shameful and they need to be held accountable. At one point, America had standards. Never forget that.

Facebook doesn't need to be regulated. Don't like what they do? Stop using it. They only have as much power as we give them.

Brainless people use an open, unsecured social platform, have privacy issues and then want the Nanny government to make baby safe again. Make more unenforceable laws punished by fines that are a revenue stream for Nanny.

Facebook is the main marketplace for ideas. They are not above the law and have to abide by the constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech. If they would discriminate on race, they would be in court already, but discrimination against worldview or political persuasion is seen as a right of private corporations.

Maybe he's just telling the truth. Maybe facebook has so many shady deals behind the scenes that breaking it up won't make a difference 🤔
