Popal aide enters manhole to restore homeless shelter’s power

A cardinal who conducts acts of charity for Pope Francis has restored power for hundreds of people in a building in Rome after climbing down a manhole and flipping a switch. Cardinal Konrad Krajewski said he acted in ’desperation’ after the occupants of the state-owned property had spent a week without power and hot water. The electricity supplier cut the power due to debts of €300,000.

I can't help admiring someone who actually took direct action to help people. I know what he did was in a moral grey area, but he saw that people's welfare and health had to come first, as did the workers charged to turn the electricity off again. There has to be some compassion!
