After Trump raised tariffs on China, China in retaliation are planning to raise their tariffs on American goods.

It is stunning how, in under three years, the right have diminished the US to a point where communist China sounds like the reasonable one.

Hell ya! We need to protect our intellectual property, manufacturing base, and strategic partners. Why we're willingly enriching a totalitarian state like China I'll never know.

I'd say invest in rice before there is a global shortage, but that would be laceist so I won't..... more likely we all just die from ww3 initiated from a nuke silo on an island made from sand with a dredger..... I love Asians and their culture, but thermo nuclear war is a bit spicy for me.

Good they put tariffs on our goods. It’s not a free market if one gets to put massive tariffs on our products but they can bring their cheap garbage steel here with no tariffs etc. China drop all tariffs and we will return the favor. Until then we must maintain a fair market and not a free market.

Now there is a shocker, Trump has again misread the situation. China's economy is still growing at a good clip and will end the year at 4% to 5% GDP. They also hold the ace in the hole, $1.3 trillion dollars in US debt. I wouldn't put it past them to use the nuclear option and call in most if not all of that debt.

I think Trump is doing the best thing for USA. as a president he's doing the best for his country. this should force USA to become the major supplier for these tech related products. in turn creating more jobs for US citizens

China has been raping our imports for years, yet they can dump their disgusting steel etc into our market with no tariffs. Nah not anymore. Trump is taking these cowards to task. When China lowers its tariffs we will lower our. Until then they can get fucked. I’ll pay a little extra for things if it means strengthening this country in the long run. China will have to break before the United States does. They really have no option, they can try and play tough but they will have to give in. If they don’t we will crush their precarious economy.

I know I’m a bit hasty for this but can’t the US start trading with Taiwan 🇹🇼 already?, thereby calling it an independent country, encouraging others to do the same and forcing China’s hand?

he's in over his head he should have learned what was being performed and learned it before he signed up for the big dance. I am an American and find it unacceptable that he has only been successful in raising our prices and devastating our business sectors (solar, agriculture, aluminum).
