Australian watchdog concerned over Apple and Google app duopoly

Australia’s Competition and Consumer Commission said both Apple and Google have too much power over distribution of apps to users and recommended strong steps to restrict their duopoly. ACCC boss Rod Simms stated that ’app developers should have more information about how their apps are made discoverable’ to users and users must be able to ’change or remove any pre-installed or default apps.’
