US issues $300 billion target list of Chinese goods in trade battle

US officials are targeting a $300 billion list of additional Chinese imports including laptop computers for tariff hikes. The release followed Beijing’s announcement Monday of tariffs of up to 25 per cent on $60 billion of US imports. The list of 3,805 product categories is a step toward carrying out President Trump’s May 5 threat to extend punitive 25 per cent duties to all Chinese imports.

"Beijing is running out of U.S. imports to penalize because of their lopsided trade balance. Chinese regulators have instead targeted American companies in China by slowing down the clearing of shipments through customs and the processing of business licenses." - Washington Times Good. Business in China is extremely dangerous for American companies anyways - the more U.S. businesses want to stay away from China, the better

What a shock! The US attacks Chinese economy. China retaliates. It's the world. The US is only one country, slowly isolating itself from reality.
