Anthony Weiner is released from Bronx halfway house

Former New York congressman Anthony Weiner was released Tuesday from the halfway house where he’d been serving time for sexting a 15-year-old girl. Weiner, 54, was sentenced to 21 months in prison in September 2017 after he pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit text messages to a teenage girl across state lines.

He'll be announcing his candidacy in the Democratic primary race soon. Name recognition is everything!
