Washington ranked as the best state in America

Washington state was ranked at the top on the US News & World Report’s rankings of the Best States, published on Tuesday. The outlet ranks all 50 states fall based on several criteria, including health care, education, economy and opportunity. Washington was followed by New Hampshire and Minnesota. Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana were at the bottom of the ranking.

Yeah, I’d like to know how they came up with this result. Washington is also dealing with a massive homelessness problem, a severe addiction epidemic, and ranks as one of the worst states for taxes and buying homes, and I think in the top 3 for worst drivers and traffic. I grew up here and don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful, but it’s glory days died at the end of the 90’s and now it’s just a bunch of hipsters trying to resurrect it artificially. Should be renamed to just ‘Yuppie’s Paradise’, it’s enough to be driving a lot of the people who have lived here forever over to Idaho. Not to mention the political representation is virtually nonexistent — Seattle and Olympia are the arbiters of what bills do and do not pass. If you can’t afford to live in King County, forget having a say on anything.
