Florida school superintendent offers to quit over perjury charge

Robert Runcie, the South Florida school superintendent overseeing Parkland schools, has offered to resign over the 2018 mass shooting there and a perjury charge a grand jury. Runcie, 59, faced flak after the Feb 14, 2018 mass shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after being accused of committing perjury while testifying about a $17 million tech deal linked to school safety.
