US eases some restrictions on China’s Huawei

The US government on Monday temporarily eased some trade restrictions imposed on China’s Huawei, a move that seeks to minimize disruption for the telecom company’s customers. The US Commerce Department will allow Huawei to purchase American-made goods in order to maintain existing networks and provide software updates to existing handsets. The relief is in place for a period of 90 days.
