Glenn Hills Middle School teacher, Akenga Smith, of Georgia, has been placed on paid administrative leave after he was caught on video shoving a student into a desk before wrestling him to the floor. The altercation took place inside a class room. According to reports, before the altercation began, the unnamed student was asked to leave the classroom for being disrespectful.

And the odd story about police punching a nineteen year old are also misleading. The guy had a warrant on him so the try to arrest him, he resists, gets taken down. Nothing wrong that I can see.

It's a miracle that decent people are willing to be teachers anymore. They are not safe, not respected, not backed up. I feel this teacher acted with great restraint.

Ok, this is confusing. The title is about a teacher shoving a middle school student into a desk. Yet most of the articles are about police punching a 19 year old.

What happened before the video? How did this start? Honestly if the kid is going push first, he should accept the consequences. Other than the push into the desk, I think the teacher was within his means of controlling his class.
