Ben Carson confuses an industry term with Oreo cookies

Ben Carson, the secretary of Housing and Urban Development, on Tuesday during a congressional hearing, confused a common real estate term with a snack food. Carson drew a blank when Rep. Katie Porter asked him to explain the disparity in REOs (Real Estate Owned) rates. ’An Oreo?’, Carson asked quizzically. Porter then went on to explain the meaning to Carson.
