Man gets life sentence for kidnapping teen and killing her parents

A Wisconsin man was sentenced Friday to life in prison for kidnapping 13-year-old Jayme Closs and killing her parents. Jake Patterson, 21, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of intentional homicide and one count of kidnapping. The judge called Patterson the ’embodiment of evil’ before sentencing him to consecutive life sentences.

At what point do these quakes cease to be aftershocks and qualify as earthquakes (regardless of how minor they may be)? To call these aftershocks 60 years after the main event seems to be a bit of a stretch. This is a sincere question.
