Australian man admits to killing wife

Ahmed Seedat, 37, has been jailed for at least 23 years after pleading guilty to murdering his wife Fahima Yusuf last year. The father of two brutally bludgeoned his sleeping wife to death before burying her in a pre-dug grave in their Carlisle backyard. Police found searches on his computer that included ’How to bury a person alive’, and ’Can you marry brother-in-law if sister dead, Muslim?’.

Those poor children... What kind of person deliberately deprives a five and two year old of their mother in such a horrific way? There are no words...

only 23 years?? I don't understand how murder isn't an automatic life sentence, no ifs ands or buts. there is no recompense for a life stolen.
